New Hampshire anti-choicers finally admit the truth: it's about denying women ownership and enjoyment of their own bodies, NOT about abortion.

“The three Councilors who voted against funding for Planned Parenthood said they did so because some of its clinics provide abortions, even though those abortions are entirely privately funded. Councilor Raymond Wieczorek of Manchester added that he opposed funding for birth control and condoms altogether.

“If they want to have a good time, why not let them pay for it?” he told the Concord Monitor last week.”

I literally want to drive down to Manchester and punch this man in the nuts.  But at least he’s being honest: he thinks unwanted children and STDs are a just PUNISHMENT for enjoying your sexuality and not being a chaste angel.  Newsflash, Raymond: the STATE will be paying for those unwanted children when women can’t afford their birth control - until you deny them benefits and healthcare and they DIE at an early age from a preventable illness or accident.  SO MUCH RAGE I CAN’T EVEN. Live free or die, my ass.

This is so disappointing. And so common.

Yup, it’s completely about not wanting women to enjoy their sexuality, that’s the long and short of it and it’s fucking sad.

This makes me want to murder kittens.

That’s sad. Of all of the good reasons to be pro-life (and yes, there are good reasons… for both sides!), people choose the bad one and flaunt it.

Never mind the emotional and physical toll it (abortion) can take on a woman. Never mind the idea of safe-sex and exploring who we are and knowing someone else so intimately. That’s somebody’s choice.

I’m not pro-choice in the abortion debate, in the end. But I’m not for punishing women for this stuff. The law won’t change someone’s heart, why are these people trying to do so by being awful for women who decide to have sex? If we’re trying to prevent abortion, why not take the proper steps to do so?
